Telematics Programme

R95 000 to install the satellite broadcast programme in high schools.

We are providing learners with the opportunity to improve their competency and aptitude in mathematics and science, through the implementation of the Telematics Programme, so that they can progress higher in the education chain

Droogfontein Solar Power and De Aar Solar Power, have contributed over R700 000, to install the satellite broadcast programme to learners in 13 Northern Cape high schools.  Learners in Grade 11 and 12 in De Aar, Phillipstown, Kimberley, Barkly West, Delposrtshoop, Warrenton, Jan Kempsdorp, Hartswater, and Noord-Kaapland will benefit from this initiative.

The programme is in partnership with the Northern Cape Department of Education and the University of Stellenbosch; and provides after school television broadcasts on six subjects during the week.

Majority shareholder, Globeleq is jointly managing the construction of De Aar Solar Power and will play a key role as the management company during operations.
